Every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science. We believe computer science should be part of the core curriculum, alongside other courses such as biology, chemistry, or algebra. Our computer coding class increases diversity in computer science by reaching students of all backgrounds where they are — at their skill level and in ways that inspire them to keep learning. We provide different levels such as Star Wars, Minecraft, Classic Maze, JavaScript, building games, and more. From elementary school to high school level, student-led tutorials can be fun for a student working alone or in a classroom. These classes optimize the experience for students who are new to computer science.
Level A: Grade 1-3
Level B: Grade 4-8
SUMMARY
Introduce simple coding to children. Provide an interactive and fun way to introduce computer coding.
OBJECTIVES
Help your child recognize patterns and think through steps logically. Use visuals and color-coded blocks to make characters move. Encourage kids to recognize their own mistakes and correct the code accordingly.
COURSE DETAILS
Kids will use coding blocks, such as “when run, move right,” and repeat loops that are similar to “while true” loops in real programming. They will be able to create patterns, stories, and their own games, which they can play and share with their classmates.
